This Georgian townhouse, dating back to 1822, combines historic elegance with modern comfort, offering guests a serene base to explore the city's iconic landmarks such as the National Museum of Scotland and Edinburgh Castle, both just over a mile away.
Rated an impressive 4.7, the hotel earns its acclaim through a blend of personalized hospitality, quiet surroundings, and thoughtful amenities. Guests consistently praise the spacious, well-equipped rooms that provide a restful escape from the bustle of the city. Soundproofing between rooms ensures privacy, although some minor noise from bathroom water pumps has been noted, which does little to diminish the overall tranquility.

The hotel’s free Wi-Fi and smoke-free environment cater well to modern travelers seeking convenience and comfort, while its kid-friendly nature makes it a smart choice for families. Had a good stay here. It is a short walk to the tram stop, so it is easy to get to from the airport, and it really isn't out of the way from anything else either. Room was nice. Couldn't hear anything from any of the other rooms upstairs, but the water pump in the bathroom was really loud, and the TV downstairs was often blaring and seemingly not even being watched a lot of the times I walked by, but it got turned off at night. Breakfast was good.
We had an absolutely lovely stay for 5 nights. Everything was super clean and comfortable. Spacious room for the 3 of us. Plenty of breakfast options. Eggs, toast, porridge, cereal, yogurt, sausage, bacon, haggis, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, tea. Location was perfect for us. Walked to everything. On a nice, quiet street.
We had a lovely stay at this quaint hotel that felt more like a bed and breakfast since the hospitality was so personal and gracious. Our hostess, Jasmin, was delightful and took good care of us the entire time. Breakfasts are full Scottish among other dishes and are made to order by Jasmin herself. Highly recommend this quiet hotel which is in a good location.
Perfect guest house situated in a quiet street. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Location is excellent for exploring the city being a 12_15 stroll to Prince's Street and Waverley station. Plenty of bars and eateries within a short walking distance . Breakfast at the hotel is superb and Jasmine the host is lovely and extremely helpful .
